Please join Oecologies for a Fall Colloquium

Thursday, November 20 | Zoom from 12:30-2:00 PST
Register by QR code or this link

This discussion will explore the ways in which fire was culturally constructed in the medieval period, both in Europe and globally, across perspectives and geographies, with a particular focus on Hawai’i, Iceland, and California. We will also consider how these conceptions continue to resonate into the present through cultural memories, knowledges, traditions, and the restrictions placed upon its use.
